Greek Hackers…Celebrate our National Day?

Yesterday, on the 25th of March, the day of the Greek Independence Anniversary, we received an email message regarding a team of greek internet users, that “hacked” several turkish, skopje, bulgarian etc sites in celebration of the anniversary. In the past, we have heard of several similar attacks by foreign groups toward Greek sites (although usually far more aggressive aiming in the complete defacement/destruction of the website). The “Greek Hacking Scene” in celebration of the Greek Independence day invaded several sites placing a greek image, in several internal pages of these sites. They avoided defacing the front page of the sites out of respect to the work of the webmasters of those sites.

Earth Hour

Sign up for Earth Hour

This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.

Fusion MiddlewareOracle Fusion Middleware (OFM) is a portfolio of software products, produced by Oracle, that spans multiple services, including J2EE and developer tools, integration services, business intelligence, collaboration, and content management. OFM is based on open standards such as BPEL, SOAP, XML and JMS. Many of the products included under the Oracle Fusion Middleware banner are not themselves middleware products, Fusion Middleware essentially being an umbrella emracing many of Oracle’s products outside of their core database and applications software offerings. According to Oracle, by 2006 over 30,000 organizations were Fusion Middleware customers, including over 35 of the world’s 50 largest companies and more than 750 of the BusinessWeek Global 1000, with OFM also supported by 7,500 partners.
