Google does TV

The rumors have been circulating for months, that Google has partnered with Intel, Sony and Logitech to work together to develop a new TV, with help from others. But rumors is all they were and no one was yet willing to confirm anything. Finally we now have some solid facts to go on. Last week, on the Google I/O Conference, the curtain has been pulled back, and we have our first official glimpse at the Google TV, the first official “smart television”.

Google was joined on stage by representatives from Intel, Sony and Logitech- all of whom helped with the development of the new platform, as well as reps from Best Buy, DISH Network, and Adobe who all announced their support.

Oracle Technology Network

Most of you Oracle fans, might have noticed the changes that were going on on several Oracle web sites the past few months. As announced on the Oracle Technology Network Blog, the most important one-stop shop for Oracle techies (http://otn.oracle.com) has been redesigned and there were several enhancements introduced.

I was always a fan of OTN and I always thought that one of its best features was the Oracle By Example – OBE section. Among all the OTN enhancements and redesign, Oracle By Example was changed as well. And that what a great change!!! Now at my favorite http://otn.oracle.com/obe/ we get a full new tutorials search portal, The Oracle Learning Library.
