Oracle Enterprise Manager has grown and matured a lot in the past few years with the latest release allowing you to fully manage your Cloud from a Single Interface. It’s not just Private Cloud or Public Cloud Management anymore, it’s actually Hybrid Cloud Management.
The latest offering, Enterprise Manager 13c, addresses both public and private cloud concerns through new enhancements that manage, migrate, test and deploy applications and databases across hybrid clouds, with 100% reuse of existing management tools and practices. These enhancements will provide centralized visibility and control to Oracle customers on their cloud journey, while helping to ensure that their existing company-wide standards are applied across the estate.
Oracle Enterprise Manager today is the nerve center of IT operations among thousands of enterprises, while it’s on the back of Oracle’s very own public cloud operation. This release has been focused to make monitoring cloud scale and resilient. One of the big things in this release is the unification of hardware and software management. The most comprehensive corporate management and monitoring solution is officially out – Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g. It justs gets better and better.
Lots of news are coming out of Oracle on the application lifecycle management front. Based on the Enterprise Manager platform, Oracle now covers all the application lifecycle stages, making centralized management easier than ever.
Application Testing was rather neglected up until now. But since the Empirix acquisition in 2008, Oracle was in posetion of great testing tool formely known as E-tester. Soon after the acquitition, realising the tools potential, Oracle announced the availability of Oracle Application Testing Suite (ATS). Amongst many improvements ATS delivers an open and integrated scripting platform for both load and functional testing. This is one of the product’s key strengths, as some other competing products require users to set up separate scripts for functional and load tests, creating un-necessary rework. With ATS, Oracle provides tools that cover the complete application lifecycle, from development to test to production management.
